Smeg Are Victorious At The Good Design Awards 2019.

At the beautiful Chicago Athenaeum, the prize winners of the best designed products conceived and created for the consumer were announced, at the Good Design Awards 2019.Selected by an international jury of architects, designers and creative directors, Smeg and its products beat competition from over five hundred companies to win the coveted prize for excellence in design and innovation. Specifically, the Smeg appliances that earned the company this prestigious award was the 90x60cm Classic oven, the 60cm Dolce Stil Novo oven with the new display, the Portofino fridge and the Linea hob.

These ground-breaking products were commended for their refined aesthetic and extraordinary technological innovation in the field of home appliances. These products were accompanied by: the MFF01 milk frother and the CGF01 coffee grinder, design by Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti (deep design).The Good Design Awards is one of the most prestigious and internationally-recognised events of its kind, and is organised annually by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, founded in 1950 in Chicago by designers and world-renowned architects. For more than 70 years, Smeg has worked tirelessly to combine aesthetics and technology, creating appliances that offer both style and functionality, establishing the brand as a pinnacle of excellence on the international scene.
